Boston Growth Capital seeks out strong businesses and management teams, with robust growth potential. These businesses can vary from high performing business that just need additional capital to realize their full potential, to strong franchises that need some restructuring and refocusing of their growth strategy. These businesses can be standalone, or they may need to be carved out of a larger corporation.
For all our investments, we deploy our rigorous, fact-based playbook, assessing the business’s current performance, competitive strengthens and weaknesses, and market growth potential. We then assess alternative performance improvement levers and growth opportunities to accelerate revenue and EBITDA growth.
This is a collaborative process, conducted with management, that results in a focused action plan and growth strategy, aligning everyone against concrete objectives.
Boston Growth Capital only invests in Information, Publishing, Software and Services businesses. Typically our target companies will encompass at least two of these elements — such as Information and Software — but may incorporate all four. In addition we seek businesses that have:
- Unique, defensible products with some IP
- Sales model focused on Business to Business sales
- Products that can demonstrate some pricing power due to their uniqueness
- Significant amount of recurring revenue
